pockt
A compact flagship cellphone with modern components

problem
Over years, mobile devices have increased in screen size to enable easier content consumption, taking over from their pocketable nature.
solution
Create a modern flagship phone that prioritises pocketable, one handed form while preserving high performance function.
The idea for Pockt was sparked by the want of a phone that is centered around one-handed use rather than content consumption.

One of the last compact flagship phones, the Asus Zenphone 10 had a 5.9 inch screen, the one outlier for it's manufacturing year of 2023, with nearly all competing flagship phones already being larger, with screen sizes over 6.1 inches. One of the last phones which could argue for being a small phone was the iPhone 16 in 2024, with a screen size of 6.1 inches. As of the year of 2026, phones, especially flagship models, boast of screen sizes over 6.3 inches with some pushing numbers as high as 6.9 inches.

The biggest thing the increasing phone sizes have taken away is the convenience of using phones one handed, being able to reach all corners of the screen while holding it safely. The larger phones have also made it uncomfortable for people with smaller hands to use them.
Pockt phone was built as a personal solution, a phone that still delivers on high quality cameras, wireless charging and all the modern flagship phone conveniences, but in a compact form factor. The phone is built from machined aluminium, housing a silicon carbon battery to increase energy density in a smaller body, a glass back, under screen fingerprint scanner and aluminium buttons with a glass back.
The visual language of the phone is inspired by a combination of my personal design influences from Teenage Engineering, Nothing and Apple.
